​I have taken this airline before and I have to say it's pretty nice.  This new look for the inside of their aircraft makes me LOVE it.  They are revamping and updating the textiles being used as well as the carpets.  The carpets are going to made from recycled flight attendant uniforms.  It was all inspired by the Milky Way. Patchwork prints

A trend that will be seen in the upcoming seasons is patchwork.  However, it will be printed patchwork.  I am not sure I am on board with this.  I like the idea of mixing and matching prints, but patchwork?  I don't know, view it for yourself:​

Oscars 2013

Flooring is a Textile!

Ok, maybe not technically, but did you know that mock marble tiles, laminat, and vinyl flooring are created by textile designers?  I once interviewed for a flooring company that created its faux flooring by using layers of color in Photoshop.  I was surprised to learn that mast of their designers did come from a textile background.  Previously, I did not know who did this or that I could be one of those people.  

Now, the photo you see was not 'created' on a computer screen.  It is real marble mosaic flooring in Italy.  ​I love it and want to my future home to have this feature.
